Provider TrainingsChild Care Connections offers child care providers (or early care professionals) an assortment of trainings / workshops throughout the year. Research has shown that the amount of training an early care professional has is directly correlated with the quality of the program. For this reason, the State of Montana requires that all early care educators receive at least 8 hours of on-going training annually. Child Care Connections distributes a provider survey every year from which they determine the level of interest in various topics. Each topic falls into one of the 11 core areas of the early care Knowledge Base. These core areas are:
BEST – Bringing Early Success Training to Providers.BEST is intended to support child care providers in their work with children and families in their care. This introductory curriculum is designed to provide training, coaching, and assessment to new family and group home providers in their child care business settings. This curriculum provides on-site support and individualized training in what home-based providers need to know, understand and be able to do in their first year of business.
